2026 Group Walking Schedule

Note:

Walk times vary depending on weather conditions, so please note the walk times below
Walks begin right at the start time so arrive early to sign-in, use the restroom, etc.
Walks are cancelled if there is snow or ice on the sidewalks or the temperature is expected to be greater than 85 degrees during the walk. We normally email the list when this happens.
The "Details/OSB" link for each walk may be used to get more information about the walk and allows you to sign-in via the online start box for that walk if one exists.
"TGW (Traveling Guided Walks)" are walks that are sanctioned as guided walks only, they start at the time specified come early to signin.

Red Sunset Walk – YRE 687 Details/OSB

Walk through several nice neighborhoods and to Red Sunset Park with a nice duck and geese pond.
5 and 10 km Rated 1A (Easy)

McMenamins Kennedy School, 5736 NE 33rd Avenue

Pre Super Bowl Walk – (Event) Details

There are two 5km routes and one 11km route.
One 5km route goes on sidewalks into the Alberta District and their various shops and eateries.
The other 5km route - will walk past some nice older neighborhood homes, around Alberta Park and past the old Concordia University (now University of Oregon - Portland campus).
There is a Peace Pole on this route.
The 11k route will go into the Alameda District; there is a section of stairs on this route.
The 11k and 5k U of Oregon routes will be marked this year with arrows or ribbons.
Written instructions and maps will be provided.
Pets are not allowed inside the McMenamins Kennedy School building
Both 5 km walk rated 1A, 11 km rated 2A

PUYALLUP, WASHINGTON

Heritage Recreation Center, 9010 128th St. E

Walking South Hill - (TGW)

The walk will go around Heritage Recreation Center, the Pipeline Trail, and nearby neighborhoods.
The 10K will continue to the asphalt Chapman Trail going to and from South Hill Park.
5 and 10 km rated 1B (Easy)

FEB 11 @ 9:40 TO 9:55 AM (WEDNESDAY)

PORTLAND, OR

The starting point is changed, for this day only, to Safeway Parking Lot, 13485 NE Cornell Rd

Bethany Walk – YRE 0876 Details/OSB

This walk explores the trails and neighborhoods in the Bethany area and along the Westside Trail.
5 and 10 km - rated 1A (Easy)

Two Rivers Walk – EVENT Details

Join us for a walk in the "Small Town with a Big View."
Two 5K loops.
One loop is part Foothills Trail and part Puyallup River levy road.
The other loop goes along the Carbon River, through the town of Orting with sections of the Foothills Rails-to-Trails route, and New City Hall.
5 and 10 km – rated 1B (Easy)

Willamette Coffee House, 2050 8th Ave. Suite D

West Linn Walk – YRE 2041 Details/OSB

Walk takes you through the former town of Historic Willamette, now named West Linn. Walk has some hills. See a replica meteorite. You will see where the Tualatin River joins into the Willamette River on the 10 km route
